Dumitru is a member of the firm’s Dispute Resolution Department, focusing on general commercial matters and labor disputes. Over the years, Dumitru has worked on variety of complex litigation cases, including employment disputes, insolvency, administrative law and breach of contract claims.

Recent projects include an intricate cross-border case that involved the embezzlement of land and assets from a Agro-business by its administrator in breach of his fiduciary duties. The project consisted of investigating the potential embezzlement, then filings against the responsible parties in 3 different jurisdictions (Ukraine, Turkey and Romania).

Dumitru is an expert in labor matters and disputes. One example of Dumitru’s work is a case against the Labor Inspectorate with regard to an industrial accident involving the tragic death of an employee. This case involved dealing with a variety of authorities and State entities, including criminal and regulatory authorities. Another recent case involved the successful resolution of a dispute with the labor and border authorities with regard to the hiring of specialized pharma experts (non-EU citizens) for work in Romania.
