Sergiu is a senior litigation and arbitration lawyer with more than 13 years of experience in representing clients on various corporate and commercial matters. A leading litigator in Moldova, Sergiu has a long and successful track record with claims and matters against the Moldovan State.

Recent cases have included representing a Moldovan natural gas operator in a series of disputes against the State regulator related to the State’s improper calculation of the legal tariff for natural gas (this case is the first successful claim/case against the State gas regulator in Moldovan history).

Sergiu also worked for Moldova’s largest bank on a complex issue related to the enforcement of a mortgage over a building used as an university headquarters as well as representing one of the world’s leading wine producers in a IP claim in Moldova related to the illegal use of the client’s trademarks by a local wine producer.

Prior to joining the team, Sergiu worked as in-house lawyer with the largest municipal energy company and studied at the National Institute of Justice, where he successfully passed the exams necessary to be appointed as a judge.
