Our attorneys are dedicated to helping our clients become more proactive in employment law-related matters. A key goal of our firm is to identify potential problems and to develop strategies and methods to lessen our client’s risks. We represent clients in all types of labor matters (including litigation, collective bargaining, work permits and visas, dismissals, and management structuring) and provide them with appropriate and measured counsel aimed at minimizing, if not eliminating, costly legal actions. We know from experience that employers can successfully implement many of their employment policies and systems, but only need accurate and up-to-date advice and counsel to have success. We provide that assistance.

With our prominent and well-respected Employment dispute resolution team, we are highly specialized in complex labor and employment litigation and have represented many of Romania’s and Moldova’s leading companies, banks, and NGOs in such matters. Over the last few years, we have developed a dedicated banking-employment practice by acting as general counsel on employment matters for numerous banks.
As part of our Employment practice, we have significant experience and expertise in managing and investigating employee misconduct and wrongful acts and we have advised many of Romania’s leading companies and financial institutions on such “ultrasensitive” matters. We pride ourselves on dealing with such matters discreetly, efficiently, and effectively.

In support of our employment work, we also have a significant compliance practice. In addition to general compliance matters (internal rules and regulations, conflict of interest policies and so on), we have also worked on numerous fraud and employee malfeasance cases, including investigations of possible violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), UK Bribery Act and matters before the Romanian anti-corruption authority (the DNA).

We have two partners who are Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP-I),with experience in various enforcement and compliance matters (including training company personnel and management). We have advised clients in the development and implementation of compliance programs as well as with establishing rules for vetting third party business partners and creating gift, travel, entertainment, and charitable contribution procedures.
